EKOPROFLEX E20-70 is a two-component polyurethane (PU, PUR) system for the production of flexible foam with improved mechanical strength. The system has been designed for the production of moulded seats, backrests and armrests. The density range of the obtained elements is from 120 to 160 kg/m3 (in moulds).
EKOPROFLEX E20-70 system consists of two components. Component A is a formulated polyol mixture in a form of white oily liquid. This component does not include suspensions, which could be harmful for processing machines. Component B is a mixture of aromatic polyisocyanates (mainly diphenyl methane diisocyanate). It is a golden-brown liquid containing no suspended solids. Component B is a highly hygroscopic, so for the whole processing period it is recommended to store it strictly in a tightly closed container in a dry room.
For the correct processing of the system EKOPROFLEX E20-70, the mould should be preheated to at least 40 – 50°C. The product can be processed with the use of both low- and high-pressure foaming machines. Full mechanical properties of the foam are obtained after conditioning for approx. 24 hours.
The product has a reduced emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC). It does not contain foaming agents that significantly deplete the ozone layer, which is pursuant to EU Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2009 of 16 September 2009. EKOPROFLEX E20-70 has a Hygienic Certificate issued by the National Institute of Hygiene (PZH), which confirms that the product used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions does not adversely affect health and the environment.
