Description

EKOPRODUR CP4090 is a polyurethane (PUR) system consisting of two components. The first of them (component A) is a polyol mixture in a form of oily liquid with a straw to brown colour and without suspensions. The second component (component B) is a mixture of aromatic polyisocyanates - it is a brown liquid without suspension. It features an outstanding sensitivity to moisture. Under its influence it crystallizes. 

EKOPRODUR CP4090 is a cast system, available in a wide range of densities (i.e. from 60-100 kg/m 3). The system is adapted to the production and application requirements. It is used to produce a rigid foam of closed cell structure. Due to the very good flow and high thermal resistance, the system is dedicated to the production of insulation panels and boards, as well as various filling of elements of unusual shape and thickness. Additionally, the system may be used for casting moulds. The system distinguishes by fairly easy adapted parameters (e.g. density and response times), which means that it may be processed both manually and by professional foaming machines of low and high pressure. Component A is prone to slow delamination, so it should be mixed thoroughly before usage. 

Additionally, EKOPRODUR CP4090 system does not contain foaming agents significantly depleting the ozone layer, which is pursuant to EU regulations on the sale and use of controlled substances according to Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2009 of 16 September 2009. Therefore, the system is of a low emissivity. The product has also a Hygienic Certificate issued by the National Institute of Hygiene (PZH), which confirms that the product used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions does not adversely affect health and the environment.

Main application advantages of the product:

  • possibility of obtaining an insulating material with a low thermal conductivity coefficient (λ), which decreases the consumption of the material;
  • possibility of obtaining an insulating material even with manual processing;
  • production of insulating material based on a rigid polyurethane foam with a wide range of applications;
  • production of insulating material with a uniform density distribution through to the good flow of the system.
  • production of insulating material characterized by a unitary structure and low water absorption.
  • production of the insulating material adapted for the specific production requirements and applications – the density adjusted to the requirements.

Mechanical properties of the foam system:

  • apparent density of the core: 60 -100 kg/m3
  • Thermal conductivity coefficient at 10°C: 0.024 W/(m·K)
  • Closed cell content: ≥ 90%

It should be noted that the aluminium or stainless steel claddings may require a mechanically or chemically prepared substrate to improve their adhesion. A method used for mixing and pouring the system into the mould should ensure uniform filling. It is recommended to heat-up the moulds. Demould time depends on the moulder size and mould temperature. Note that the polyurethane foam achieves its full mechanical properties after conditioning for approx. 24 hours.
