Rokopol® vTec8861 is a polyether polyol. It exists as a homogeneous liquid free of mechanical impurities. It contains antioxidants (excluding BHT). It is characterised by high purity and low emission. It has hydroxyl value within the range of 110-125 mgKOH/g, and its dynamic viscosity is 400-600 mPas at temp. 25°C.
Rokopol® vTec8861 is used for production of viscoelastic polyurethane foams using the continuous system (slabstock) and for periodic production (batch). Applied together with appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, foaming agents) it is used to produce blocks of viscoelastic foam with rectangular cross-section and height up to 90 cm.
Main advantages of application of Rokopol® vTec8861:
high purity and low emission,
possibility to manufacture foams of density within the range of 30-80 kg/m3 and hardness within the range of 1-3kPa,
tear resistance of the foam is above 50kPa and relative elongation at rupture above 50%,
foam recovery time 1-10 s,
insignificant influence of temperature changes between 5-40°C on foam hardness,
foam hardness increase at temperature 5°C below 30% (as compared to foam hardness at temperature 23°C),
very open cell structure of the foam (air permeability) improving “sleep quality”,
possibility to manufacture closed- or open-cell foams (pneumatic foam),
perfect shape of the obtained foam block.
