EKOPRODUR 1814W is a two-component polyurethane system (PUR). It consists of a polyol mixture (POLY component) and isocyanate (ISO component). Each of the components is a viscous liquid of different physicochemical parameters. The system is characterized by decreased emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC), as it does not contain foaming agents, which significantly deplete the ozone layer. This is compliant with European Union rules contained in Regulation (EC) no. 1005/2009 dated 16 September 2009.
The product is the so-called water system, which is foamed with the use of carbon dioxide (CO2) obtained in the reaction of POLY compound with ISO compound. As a result of mechanical mixing of both compounds, semi-rigid foam of an open-cell structure is created. Due to its high reactivity, it is recommended to process the system with the use of special low- and high-pressure foaming machines.
Due to its low density (apparent density of the core in the finished product is not less than 16 kg/m3), EKOPRODUR 1814W system is intended for the production of insulating materials with a partially open cell structure.
It was tested in the process of manufacture of insulation boards and coverings in cladding. It is also possible to use the foam system for thermal insulation of process tanks and boilers. The system is distinguished by good adhesion to
most of materials, therefore its scope of application can be extended to the packaging sector, among others, to production of semi-rigid polyurethane fillings. Slightly modified system can be effective as an injection system.
EKOPRODUR 1814W has a Hygienic Certificate issued by the National Institute of Hygiene (PZH), which confirms that the product used according to manufacturer’s instructions has no negative impact on health and the environment.
Foamed EKOPRODUR 1814W is mainly used for production of semi-rigid insulation coating, the purpose of which may be the protection of internal pipelines of central heating systems as well as hot and cold domestic water in residential, administration and industrial buildings.

a semi-rigid polyurethane insulation of a wide range of applications,
possibility of creating a seamless and durable internal thermal insulation,
a light insulating and filling material (filling of voids),
a material of low heat transfer coefficient.

In order for the foam system to maintain stability and all its parameters, it should be noted that the method of mixing and pouring of the system should ensure even filling of the mold. After demolding, the finished products should be conditioned. The foam achieves its full mechanical properties after 24 hours.
