ROKAmer G3500 is a non-ionic surfactant being a type of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide block copolymer, using glycerine as a starter. The product is a clear, colourless liquid with a low freezing point, i.e. below -15°C, and the active substance content of about 100%.
ROKAmer G3500 aqueous solutions below room temperature are clear and become turbid at 36–42°C. The product is a high-molecular polymer with a specific, tri-functional structure, which means it has three hydrophilic groups. This distinguishes the ROKAmers G from other non-ionic surfactants, and determines their properties. ROKAmer G3500 is a product with low- and anti-foaming properties, which acts effectively at temperatures over 40°C. In addition, ROKAmer G3500 is a reactive surfactant which may be further modified, for example with fatty acid. Its derivatives can be used as anti-foaming ingredients by the paper and food industries (e.g. in sugar production) as well as in many processes in which the problem of foaming of wastewater and process waters under elevated temperature occurs. Due to its properties, the product reduces the surface tension between the liquid and air, while improving foam "drainage", resulting in foam reduction.
ROKAmer G3500 does not contain silicone, it is not classified as a dangerous substance, and is susceptible to aerobic biodegradation. The product is kosher certified. ROKAmer G3500 complies with the regulations allowing the product to come into indirect contact with food.
