Rokopol® vTec8911 is a polyether polyol. The product is in the form of a homogeneous liquid, free from mechanical impurities, and opalescent. It contains antioxidants (excluding BHT), and is characterized by high purity and low emissions. It has a hydroxyl value within the range 135-150 mgKOH/g, and its dynamic viscosity is 450-650 mPas at 25°C.
Rokopol® vTec8911 may be used for the production of viscoelastic polyurethane foams with a continuous type system (slabstock), and the periodic (batch) production. Using both Rokopol® vTec770 and appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, foaming agents), it is possible to produce visco-elastic slabstock with rectangular cross-section and height of up to 90 cm. With its high parameters, the product can be widely used in the furniture industry for the production of mattresses and pillows.
The main application advantages of Rokopol vTec8911:
option of producing foams with densities from 40 to 80 kg/m3 and hardness ranges from 1-3 kPa,
the use of the product allows the production of foam with a breaking strength above 50 kPa and relative elongation at break above 50%,
foam recovery time 1-10 s,
slight impact of temperature changes in the range of 5-40°C on foam hardness,
increase in hardness at 5°C below 30% as compared to hardness at 23°C,
very open cell structure of the foam (air permeability) increasing the "sleep quality",
perfect shape of the obtained slabstock.
The most common applications of Rokopol vTec8911:
production of viscoelastic polyurethane foams,
in the furniture industry, it is used for the production of mattresses and pillows with increased comfort factor,
used for the production of gel, viscoelastic and flexible foams.
