EKOPROMER G20 is a single-component polyurethane (PU, PUR) adhesive, which is easy to use and intended for applications in the construction industry. The adhesive is based on a pre-polymer made of on diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI). Therefore, it is a liquid of dark brown colour. The product contains no suspended solids. It cures when exposed to moisture from the air.

At the same time EKOPROMER G20 adhesive is one of the components of two-component PUR adhesive – EKOPRODUR KW2. In such a system the product is used to bond continuous panels of expanded polystyrene, extruded polystyrene, mineral wool and polyurethane with sheet metal, wood boards, plasterboards or tar paper and other construction materials. The adhesive retains its mechanical properties over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +80°C.

EKOPROMER G20 is a single-component adhesive designed primarily for the construction industry. EKOPROMER G20 is a quite versatile product used for permanent joining of different construction materials.

This adhesive contains no organic solvents – volatile organic liquids that are classified as volatile organic compounds (VOC). The product has a Hygienic Certificate issued by the National Institute of Hygiene (PZH), which confirms that the product used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions does not adversely affect health and the environment.

Main application advantages of the product:

  • the multi-functional, single-component polyurethane adhesive with appropriately selected parameters to extend its scope of application,
  • an adhesive for permanent joining of various construction materials,
  • an adhesive reinforcing construction elements,
  • an adhesive with excellent adhesion to various materials.
  • a component of a two-component polyurethane adhesive for joining panels of expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene (XPS), mineral wool and polyurethane sheet metal, wood boards, plasterboards, tar paper and others,
  • possibility of machine application of the adhesive onto surfaces to be joined.

Mechanical properties of EKOPROMER G20 adhesives:

  • consumption depends on the porosity of the surface,
  • fast bonding time: almost immediately after application of the adhesive (and optionally water) join the surfaces in a press until the pre-cure is reached,
  • to accelerate the demoulding process, it is recommended to use higher temperatures – up to 60°C,
  • the full mechanical resistance of the joint is obtained after 24 hours of conditioning at a temperature of approx. 20°C.
  • the ambient temperature during production should not be lower than 10°C.

Low temperatures (<10°C) increases the curing time. The viscosity of the adhesive also increases making difficult its uniform application. Note that the joined surfaces should be dry, degreased and free of any impurities.
