ROKAnol DB7 is a non-ionic surfactant of the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols (INCI name: C12-15 Pareth-7). The product belongs to ROKAnol DB series based on C12-C15 fatty alcohol. The high surface activity of these products makes them suitable for use as efficient detergents and cleaning agents, and also opens up the possibility of their use in other industries.
The commercial form of ROKAnol DB7 at room temperature is a turbid liquid or paste with a tendency to delaminate. The active substance content is approximately 100%. At 40°C it is a clear liquid with a light colour, i.e. max. 70 on the Hazen scale, while at about 20°C it solidifies. ROKAnol DB7 has a hydroxyl value of 100-114 mgKOH / g. The hydrophilic-lipophilic balance value (HLB) of the product is 12, which makes the product dissolve well in water.
ROKAnol DB7 is the most versatile product in the Rokanol DB group intended for detergents. It is distinguished by excellent wetting properties and high foaming capacity. It exhibits stability in both oxidizing and reducing environment as well as in the presence of hard water. The product is characterized by activity in cold water as well as in acidic, neutral and diluted alkali baths. It has excellent degreasing and detergent properties, which ensures a high level of dirt removal. The use of the product in cleaning agents allows the formation of clear, stable formulations often without the use of hydrotropes.
What’s more, ROKAnol DB7 has very good dispersing properties and is an effective emulsifier. Such numerous application advantages determine the possibility of using ROKAnol DB7 as a universal component of most detergents. The product is used for the production of dishwashing liquids, liquids and capsules for washing, bleaching, floor cleaners, window cleaners (including car windows) and products for the care of leather upholstered furniture. It is also used in specialist cleaning agents for industrial and institutional use. These are, among others, preparations for professional washing of restaurant and hospital textiles, for machine cleaning of hard surfaces in production plants and markets, alkaline degreasing agents for metal surfaces, as well as formulations used in CIP – Cleaning In Place processes.
Washing and emulsifying properties make the product suitable for use in cosmetic formulations, mainly in washing cosmetics and hair care.
ROKAnol DB7 has also been used as an emulsifying agent, used in the production of bituminous masses (asphalts) and adhesives.
Due to the lack of ionic forms in the chemical structure of the product, it can be used in combination with other non-ionic surfactants and in formulations in which the components are anionic and cationic surfactants and other auxiliary agents.
ROKAnol DB7 is highly biodegradable and meets the criteria of the detergents directive.
