ROKAcet K7 is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the group of polyoxyethylene fatty acid esters (INCI name: PEG-7 cocoate). This surfactant occurs in the form of a clear or slightly cloudy liquid, ranging in colour from straw to light brown and with a solidification point of about 0°C.
The product forms cloudy solutions in water. The active substance content is at a minimum of 99%. It is a substance safe for the aquatic environment according to CLP regulation. It is easily biodegradable in the natural environment. These features make it a popular product among formulators of industrial and cosmetic sectors.
Due to its high solubility in most mineral and vegetable oils, ROKAcet K7 can be used as a lubricant and anti-wear additive. It is used in processing fluids based on soluble oils, semisynthetic coolants as well as neat oils. It may be a part of the composition of flame retardant hydraulic fluids of HFA type used, among others, in the mining industry.
Due to its emulsifying properties, the product is used in liquid pesticide formulations such as EC and EW. In addition to its excellent emulsifying properties, the product has low foaming properties, high acid resistance and moderate resistance to alkaline environment.
ROKAcet K7 also shows the properties of an emollient – it leaves a protective layer on the skin, which prevents it from drying out. For this reason, ROKAcet K7 is used in washing cosmetic preparations.
