ROKAnol LP2126 belongs to the group of non-ionic surfactants of the type of alkoxylated fatty alcohols. The product is a high-molecular polymer based on alcohol of vegetable origin. The product belongs to the ROKAnol LP series, a large group of products with low-foaming and anti-foaming properties, and is dedicated to industrial processes.
The product is in the form of a clear or slightly turbid liquid with a low pour point (below -20°C) and an active substance content of about 100%. ROKAnol LP2126 is a product insoluble in water and forms a separate phase in it. The cloud point of the product is between 21-26°C for the butyl diglycol solution (10%), which makes the product one of the most hydrophobic of the ROKAnol LP series.
The product is mainly used as an anti-foaming agent in industrial processes, in particular in the paper industry. Its hydrophobic nature causes the product to migrate to the surface of the liquid. Due to its properties, the product reduces the surface tension between the liquid and the air and at the same time improves the drainage of the foam, resulting in its reduction. In order to facilitate the application, ROKAnol LP2126 water emulsions are prepared by selecting appropriate emulsifiers.
ROKAnol LP2126 is a safe substance and complies with the regulations permitting the product for indirect contact with food. The American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allows the use of this product as an anti-foaming agent in the production of packaging paper.
