ROKAfenol N6P6 is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the group of alkoxylated nonylphenols. It is in the form of an oily liquid which solidifies at a temperature below 0°C. The active substance content is about 100%.
The product has good solubility in water, but only at temperatures below 18°C, as it becomes turbid when heated up. The reason for this is its low cloud point of 18-21°C. However, the cloud point of this product in butyldiglycol/water solution is within the temperature range of 29-36°C.
ROKAfenol N6P6 is a component of washing agents, cleaning agents and laundry detergents. It acts as an emulsifier and dispersing agent, thus improving the detergency properties. It is characterized by low foaming capacity. For this reason, ROKAfenol N6P6 provides an undesirable froth reduction. In some formulations it is used as an antifoam.
The product forms emulsions in aqueous and non-aqueous systems containing other surfactants, mineral oils, vegetable oils and organic solvents.
It is active in cold and hard water, maintaining a constant level of detergency. ROKAfenol N6P6 may be functional in a mixture with other non-ionic auxiliaries and with anionic and cationic agents. Good resistance to oxidizing and reducing agents as well as stability in acids and dilute alkali result in wide application possibilities of ROKAfenol N6P6.
Regulations of the European Union – Regulation of European Parliament and Council (EC) No. 648/2004 of March 31, 2004 on detergents – restrict the use of the product to industrial cleaning, textiles and leather processing and metal working with closed loop system, where the working fluid is recycled or burnt.
