Rofluid T is an aqueous solution of polycarboxylate ether (PCE) with an off-white color to a transparent, low viscosity and 50% dry substance. PCEs are new generation admixtures and are compounds with a specific structure (the so-called comb structure), consisting of a long main chain and side chains with lengths depending on the number of repeating units of ethylene oxide and / or propylene.

Properties and applications

Product application advantages:

  • allows reducing the amount of mixing water (even by 35%) without deteriorating the consistency of the concrete mix;
  • allows less cement consumption, which reduces costs (while maintaining a constant w / c);
  • increases the compressive strength of concrete• low dosage of 0.4 to 1.5% on the weight of the binder (depending on the properties of the concrete we want to produce);
  • can be used at reduced temperatures without inhibiting cement hydration;
  • does not cause corrosion of reinforcing steel (low chloride content).
