Roflam F6 is a halogen-free solution for efficient flame retardation in plastics. The additive provides a high class of fire resistance without adversely affecting the mechanical properties of the finished product. During the combustion process, the presence of a flame retardant promotes the formation of a less flammable, charred coating that acts as a barrier between the material and the flame. The use of Roflam F6 additive together with inorganic flame retardants in powder form increases the fire resistance profile through a synergistic effect.
The product is in the form of a homogeneous liquid, providing excellent miscibility and compatibility with liquid raw materials. It is characterized by an increased viscosity of 64-75 mPa * s (at 25°C), which is significant in terms of miscibility with more viscous raw materials.
Due to its unique properties, Roflam F6 finds its application in many industries. It is dedicated to the production of flexible and semi-rigid polyurethane foams. These products are used in the furniture industry (mattresses, sofas, armchairs) and automotive (sound insulation, seats), where one of the key parameters is the lack of toxic gases during the combustion process. The halogen-free flame retardant Roflam F6A is a good solution in this aspect, as it is effective and safe.
