Rokolub FR I-46 is an aryl phosphate ester in the form of a colourless to pale yellow liquid. It is characterized by the viscosity of the ISO VG 46 grade.
The product is a synthetic base oil used as a fire resistant hydraulic fluid type HFDR according to ISO 6743-4. Thanks to high fire resistance and unique self-extinguishing properties, it is ideal for devices exposed to fire. Using it does not create a fire hazard even in extreme situations (e.g. contact of the sprayed liquid with a fire source).
Flame retardant hydraulic fluids based on organic phosphate esters in comparison to available solutions are characterized by the highest temperature resistance and the best fire resistance. Flash point of this product group is above 240°C, the combustion temperature above 330°C and the auto-ignition temperature above 530°C. The high fire resistance of aryl phosphate esters is confirmed by excellent test results, such as: Manifold Ignition, Spray Ignition, Wick Flame Persistence. The unique properties of phosphate esters make them an excellent solution for industrial equipment exposed to high temperatures and fire. Their use ensures safety in many emergency situations.
Rokolub FR I-46 has good lubricating properties, which are confirmed by the results of the four-ball test. The product is also characterized by high cleanliness class 15/12 (ISO Cleanliness Code) according to ISO 4406. In addition, low water content (below 0.1% m/ m) and low acid value (below 0.1 mgKOH/g) ensure good hydrolytic stability of the product.
Fire resistant HFDR hydraulic fluids are successfully used in the power generation industry, metallurgy and mining industries. Rokolub FR I-46 is designed for devices working in fire hazard zones and exposed to contact with hot surfaces (including in power plants, on oil platforms, steel and aluminium casting process).
