ROKAnol RZ4P11 belongs to non-ionic surfactants (alkoxylated fatty alcohols). The product is a high molecular polymer based on alcohol of plant origin. It is a product with low-foaming and anti-foaming properties, dedicated to industrial processes.
The product is a liquid with a tendency to delaminate over time. The product’s freezing point is below -20°C, and the active substance content is around 100%. ROKAnol RZ4P11 is a water insoluble product, and forms a separate phase in it. The product’s cloud point is within 23-27°C for a butyl diglycol solution (16.7%), which makes the product one of the most hydrophobic low-foaming products.
It is mainly used as an anti-foaming agent in industrial processes, in particular in the paper and food industries, e.g. in potato processing or sugar production. Its hydrophobic nature causes the product to migrate to the surface of the liquid. Due to its properties, the product reduces the surface tension between the liquid and air. At the same time, it improves foam “drainage”, resulting in a foam volume reduction. These properties are used, among others, in the construction industry, where ROKAnol RZ4P11 serves as an anti-foam agent in plasticizing admixtures for concrete.
In addition to industrial applications, Rokanol RZ4P11 can be used as an anti-foam agent in detergents, where it is used instead of silicone agents.
In order to facilitate application, ROKAnol RZ4P11 water emulsions are prepared by selecting suitable emulsifiers, or preparing a solution with solvents or solubilizers.
ROKAnol RZ4P11 does not contain silicone, it is not a dangerous substance, and complies with the regulations allowing the product to come into indirect contact with food. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allows this product to be used as an anti-foaming agent for packaging paper.
