Rodys KP is the powder form of Rodys K, i.e. the sodium salt of naphthalene sulfonic acid formaldehyde polycondensates (NSF). Like the entire Rodys series, Rodys K neither has an environmental classification, nor does it contribute to increasing the concentration of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in products for which it is used. It is also distinguished by low content of calcium and iron ions.

Properties and applications
  • enables to obtain latex dispersions stable during polymerization;
  • inhibits the formation of coagulates of latex particles during both polymerization and degasification;
  • does not adversely affect the physicochemical or mechanical properties of the produced rubber;
  • does not slow down the polymerization reaction rate;
  • very low moisture content and low bulk density reduce transport and storage costs;
  • intended mainly as an auxiliary in the production of styrene-butadiene rubbers by emulsion polymerization.
