Rodys K is an aqueous solution of sodium salts of naphthalene sulfonic acid and formaldehyde polycondensates. It is a low-viscosity, brown-coloured liquid, and among the Rodys product series it is distinguished by the lowest degree of polymerization. The product neither has an environmental classification, nor does it contribute to increasing the concentration of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the products for which it is used.

Properties and applications
  • allows obtaining latex stable dispersions during polymerization;
  • inhibits the formation of coagulates of latex particles during both polymerization and degasification;
  • does not slow down the polymerization reaction rate;
  • does not adversely affect the physicochemical or mechanical properties of the produced rubber;
  • intended mainly as an aid in the production of styrene-butadiene rubbers by emulsion polymerization;
