EKOPRODUR 0612B2/M is a two-component polyurethane (PUR) system intended for the production of semi-rigid foam (soft), which has a partly open cellular structure and self-extinguishing properties. EKOPRODUR 0612B2/M system contains component A, which is a polyol mixture (oily liquid of straw to yellow colour), and component B, which is a mixture of aromatic polyisocyanates. The second component is also a liquid, but much darker in colour - brown. It has an outstanding sensitivity to moisture (high hygroscopicity), exposed to which it quickly crystallizes. It should be noted that component A is prone to slow delamination, so it should be mixed thoroughly before usage.
The system is dedicated for the specific production conditions and is provided with a triggering (activating) agent. Before the foaming process, the processor prepares the polyol component by adding the exact allowed amount of water and activating agent to component A. The obtained mixture is ready for foaming in the reaction with component B. The foamed (expanded) system is most commonly used to produce continuous insulating materials of soft cladding type. Polyurethane coatings may differ from each other in dimensions. With the high quality and constant parameters, the produced PUR coatings improve performance and increase the efficiency of the whole system.
Due to the comparatively short reaction times, the system is intended for continuous production on low- and high pressure foaming machine. The foamed system has a density in the product of not less than 18 kg/m3.
An important fact is that EKOPRODUR 0612B2/M does not contain foaming agents significantly depleting the ozone layer, which is in accordance with EU regulations on the sale and use of controlled substances according to Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2009 of 16 September 2009. The system is foamed by carbon dioxide (CO2) produced in the reaction of component A with component B. In addition, the product has a Hygienic Certificate issued by the National Institute of Hygiene (PZH), which confirms that the product used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions does not adversely affect health and the environment.

Possibility of obtaining an insulating material with a low thermal conductivity coefficient (λ), which allows to reduce the thickness of the insulation comparing to other conventional insulating materials and consequently to decrease the use of material;
Production of insulating material based on a semi-rigid polyurethane foam with a wide range of applications;
Production of the insulating material of cladding type with improved flammability parameters;
Possibility of obtaining insulating material of extremely low specific weight and favourable thermal stability;

Apparent density: 12 ± 1 kg/m3
Closed cell content: ≤ 20%
Change of the linear dimensions:
110°C, 24h: max. 1%
-24°C, 48h: max. 1%
Note that the polyurethane foam achieves its full mechanical properties after conditioning for approx. 24 hours.
