Insulation is a method to protect adjacent systems in order to eliminate their interaction.

 

For this purpose, one may apply such materials as polyurethane foam, which is designed for making jointless thermal or sound insulation, or waterproofing. It is created by the foaming of polyurethane resin. It shows a high mechanical strength and a good thermal conduction coefficient: below 0.03 W/(mK).

Spray foam is used to insulate roofs, attics, floor slabs, ceilings, walls, floors and foundations. Insulations may be installed in buildings used for agricultural, industrial, utility and residential purposes. In addition, they strengthen the surface of facilities by spraying a layer of PU foam with increased mechanical strength.
