EKOPRODUR G-PUR 35 is a two-component polyurethane system designed for spray-applied thermal insulation. The reaction of the two components produces a rigid, closed-cell polyurethane foam with thermal and mechanical properties suited for applications requiring a durable and stable insulation layer. The system also stands out for its use of blowing agents that do not deplete the ozone layer, in accordance with applicable European Union regulations, including Regulation (EU) 2024/590 of February 7, 2024, on ozone-depleting substances.
When the two components are combined and thoroughly mixed under the appropriate processing conditions, a rigid, closed-cell polyurethane foam is produced. The EKOPRODUR G-PUR 35 system should be applied exclusively using specialized foaming units equipped with a spray head.
EKOPRODUR G-PUR 35 is designed for the in-situ application of interior thermal insulation using the spray method. The foamed system can be used to insulate walls, ceilings, attics, basements, tanks, pipelines, and other elements with non-standard geometries. Thanks to spray technology, the material can be applied directly to the surface to be insulated, even in areas with more complex shapes. The system is used in residential and commercial construction, as well as in agriculture and industry.
Key application advantages of the product:
The ability to apply interior thermal insulation using the spray method directly onto the surface to be insulated;
The ability to insulate surfaces and components with various geometries, including walls, ceilings, attics, basements, tanks, and pipelines;
Production of rigid polyurethane foam with a closed-cell structure;
Favorable thermal insulation properties—thermal conductivity coefficient λmean,i of 0.026–0.028 W/(m·K) and λD value accounting for aging at 0.033 W/(m·K);
Ability to create a continuous insulation layer using the spray application method, tailored to the shape of the insulated element;
High mechanical strength of the foam—compressive stress at 10% relative deformation is ≥ 150 kPa;
Water vapor diffusion resistance coefficient μ ≥ 50 and short-term water absorption under partial immersion WP ≤ 0.20 kg/m²;
Suitable for use in residential and commercial construction, as well as in agriculture and industry;
The system does not contain ozone-depleting blowing agents, in accordance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) No. 2024/590.
Mechanical properties of polyurethane foam produced using the EKOPRODUR G-PUR 35 system:
Apparent density of the core: ≥ 33 kg/m³;
Fire reaction classification: F;
Short-term water absorption under partial immersion: WP ≤ 0.20 kg/m²;
Compressive stress at 10% relative deformation: σ10 ≥ 150 kPa;
Water vapor diffusion resistance factor: μ ≥ 50;
Temperature stability:
70°C, 90% RH, after 48 h: DS(70,90)3;
-20°C, after 48 h: DS(-20,-)3.
To ensure that the sprayed foam retains all its properties, it is absolutely essential to:
properly prepare the surface to be insulated. The substrate should be free of dust, water, oil, loose particles, and other substances that could reduce the foam’s adhesion. Before beginning application, you must also thoroughly protect surfaces adjacent to the spray area, particularly windows, doors, floors, furniture, and other items that could be accidentally soiled.
Before use, both components of the system should be heated to a temperature of 30–40°C. The POLY component should be thoroughly mixed approximately one hour before application begins and stirred continuously during spraying. The ISO component does not require mixing. The recommended volume ratio of the POLY components is 100:100.
To achieve the best insulation performance, apply at least two uniform layers of foam so that the total insulation thickness is no less than 60 mm. The recommended thickness of a single layer is 30–35 mm. Between spraying successive layers, wait until the foam has stabilized, i.e., until the layer’s temperature drops below 30°C. All insulation layers should be applied within a single day.
After application with the EKOPRODUR G-PUR 35 system, it is recommended to ventilate the room until the odor dissipates. If adequate ventilation is not available, ensure forced air circulation using dedicated devices.
