EKOPROFLEX W-25 is a two-component polyurethane (PU, PUR) system used for production of viscoelastic foam, it can 'memorize' shapes. It is designed mainly for the production of various types of mattresses and pillows, used for example in the health sector. The system is designed to make it relatively easily customised and adapted to the individual production requirements and conditions of the manufacturer.

The Ekoproflex W-25 system consists of two components. The first component - Component A - is a formulated polyol mixture in the form of a milky, whitish liquid. The second component—Component B—is a polyisocyanate prepolymer, which is also a liquid but significantly less viscous and light brown in color. The components contain no suspended solids. Component B is highly reactive and hygroscopic. It is strongly recommended that it be stored in a tightly sealed container in a dry room throughout the entire processing period.For proper and effective processing, the Ekoproflex W-25 system requires a heated mold with a temperature ranging from 40°C to 50°C. The product can be processed using both low- and high-pressure foaming machines.The system is characterized by reduced emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Under appropriate conditions (temperature between 15 and 25°C, in a dry and dark room), Ekoproflex W-25 can be stored for up to 6 months from the date of manufacture.The viscoelastic (memory) foam achieves its full mechanical properties after 24 hours of curing.Main application advantages of the product:

a versatile material (for the production of moldable seat fillings, mattresses, or pillows) tailored to manufacturers’ requirements,

the ability to produce custom-shaped memory foam.

Properties of the Ekoproflex W-25 foam system:

start time: 25–30 s,

gel time: 85–95 s,

dry surface time: 80 ± 8 s,

density in the finished product: 55–60 kg/m³,

demolding time: min: 6 min; max: 8 min.

Properties and applications

Properties:

enables the production of viscoelastic Memory Foam with shape memory;
allows for adjustment of system parameters to individual production process conditions;
can be processed on low- and high-pressure foaming machines;
the foam’s full mechanical properties are achieved after approximately 24 hours of curing.

Product Applications:

The system is designed for the production of viscoelastic “Memory Foam” used in products requiring high comfort and a custom fit to the user’s body shape. The product can be used, among other things, for the production of:

mattresses and mattress inserts;
ergonomic, rehabilitation, and travel pillows;
molded seat components, including those for armchairs, sofas, and chairs;
fillings for home furnishings, including select bathroom rugs;
components with custom-molded shapes, intended for comfort and functional applications.
