EKOPRODUR OP2 / S is a two-component polyurethane system (PUR) consisting of a polyol mixture (component A) and an isocyanate part (component B). Each component is a viscous liquid characterized by different physicochemical parameters depending on the system requirements. Ingredient A is straw to yellow, while component B has a brown colour. Both components are free of suspensions. The system is characterized by a reduced emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC), as it does not contain foaming agents that significantly deplete the ozone layer. This is in accordance with the European Union regulations contained in Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2009 of 16.IX.2009.
EKOPRODUR OP2 / S is an aqueous system, which is foamed with carbon dioxide (CO2) produced in the reaction of component A with component B. Mechanical mixing of both components results in a semi-rigid foam with an open-cell structure. The system does not require machine processing. Due to the low apparent density of the core (not less than 14 kg / m3 in the finished product), the system is intended for the production of insulating fillings and packaging without high mechanical requirements. The system is quite universal, therefore the range of its application can be extended to other applications in which the insulating properties of semi-rigid foam can be used.
EKOPRODUR OP2 / S has a Hygienic Certificate of the National Institute of Hygiene [PZH], which confirms that the product, when used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, does not adversely affect health and the environment.
The EKOPRODUR OP2 / S system is primarily used for the production of semi-rigid insulating filling.

Mechanical properties of polyurethane foam made from the EKOPRODUR OP2 / S system:

closed cells content ≤ 20%.
In order for the foamed system to maintain stability and its parameters, the processing should be preceded by mixing of component A for approx. 10-15 minutes. It should be borne in mind that once moulded, finished products should be seasoned. The full mechanical values of the foam are obtained after 24 hours.
