Semi-rigid foams are polyurethane foams whose main purpose is to dampen noise and vibrations as well as to insulate and absorb shocks.
They differ from flexible materials in higher rigidity. Additionally, they make it possible to produce components with a more stable structure. Semi-rigid foams include partially open cells. With this feature, they show excellent insulating and acoustic properties – they can dampen vibrations and suppress sounds.
Semi-rigid foams are used for the production of packages, insulating fillers as well as for the insulation of roofs, ceilings and walls in residential, industrial or public buildings.
