EKOPRODUR DCP2004 is a two-component polyurethane system, used for the production of closed-cell rigid foam with very good insulation properties. The EKOPRODUR DCP 2004 system is made up of two components. The first one is a polyol mixture (POLY component) in the form of oily liquid. The second component is the ISO component, which is a dense mixture of aromatic polyisocyanates, mainly diphenylmethane diisocyanate. Both components of the system do not contain suspensions.
EKOPRODUR DCP 2004 does not contain foaming agents that deplete the ozone layer, in accordance with the EU provisions on the marketing and use of controlled substances — Regulation (EC) no. 1005/2009 of 16 September 2009.
In the polyurethane system EKOPRODUR DCP 2004, carboxylic acid is used as the blowing agent.
EKOPRODUR DCP 2004 is used for filling empty spaces e.g. doors, insulating elements, which are made using the periodical method in hydraulic presses.
The EKOPRODUR DCP2004 polyurethane system may be processed with the use of low- and high-pressure foaming machines. The time of foam or element forming should be determined experimentally, as it depends on the temperature of the components, ambient temperature, temperature of the mold and the casting system mass. In case of casting elements with linings it is recommended to use molds and presses heated to a minimum temperature of 30°C to ensure proper adhesion of the foam to the lining and to eliminate surface brittleness. Some lining materials require pre-treatment of the surface before pouring the polyurethane system. The foam reaches its full mechanical properties after 24-hour seasoning period. When processing the system, instructions and information contained in the Data Sheets of both components should be considered.
