EKOPRODUR PS3030P is a polyurethane system that uses cyclopentane as a blowing agent. Thanks to this, the system is distinguished by significantly increased temperature stability. The system consists of two components. Component A is a highly viscous (about 2200 mPa · s) polyol mixture in a form of an oily liquid (straw to yellow). Component B is a mixture of aromatic polyisocyanates. It is a thick and quite dark liquid with brown colour. Both components are free of suspensions. Component B relatively easily absorbs moisture from the environment, undergoing crystallization. Therefore, it is recommended to keep it in a tightly closed container in a dry room.
The EKOPRODUR PS3030P system is used for the production of rigid foam with a uniform closed cell structure. In addition, the foam has self-extinguishing properties. The distinguishing feature of the system is its good flow rate due to which it features a homogeneous density distribution throughout the entire cross-section. At the same time, the foam maintains temperature stability at temperatures up to 135 ° C with long service life. In the case of periodic operation mode, temperature resistance is even up to 150 ° C. Due to the parameters of the obtained foam, it is widely used as insulating material in the production of tanks and in-situ flooding processes.
The system can only be processed using a high-pressure foaming machine. The dosing of the cyclopentane takes place separately, directly before the system is mixed through a dosing unit connected to the machine. The pressure of all components should be equal. The foam density in the finished product should not be lower than 45 kg / m3.
For processors and end users, the key advantage is that EKOPRODUR PS3030P does not contain foaming agents that significantly deplete the ozone layer. This is in accordance with the European Union regulations on the circulation and use of controlled substances in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2009 of 16.IX.2009.
In addition, the product has a Hygienic Certificate of the National Institute of Hygiene (PZH), which confirms that the product, when used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, does not adversely affect health and the environment.
Main application advantages of the system:
production of an insulating material that is highly effective and resistant to high temperatures,
obtaining insulation with a low thermal conduction coefficient (λ), which results in a reduction of thickness and material consumption,
production of insulating material based on rigid polyurethane foam with a wide application range, e.g. for the production of pipe lagging,
obtaining insulation with uniform distribution of density and good temperature stability.

Criteria for processing:
optimal temperature of raw materials: 18-22 ° C,
optimum ambient temperature: 15-25 ° C.
The method of mixing and filling the system should ensure uniform filling. With aluminium or stainless steel cladding, mechanical or chemical surface preparation may be necessary to increase adhesion.
The foam releasing time depends on the size and the temperature of the mould, but usually the foam obtains its full mechanical properties after about 24 hours.
