Description

EKOPRODUR KW-A2 is a polyol component of a two-component polyurethane adhesive. The second component is EKOPROMER G20. Each component is a very viscous liquid with a viscosity exceeding 600 mPa·s Component A is straw to yellow colour. Component B is dark brown. Both components contain no suspensions. The two components of the adhesive have a reduced emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC), as they do not contain foaming agents significantly depleting the ozone layer. This is in accordance with European Union rules contained in Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2009 of 16 September 2009.

The entire system of EKOPRODUR KW-A2 and EKOPROMER G20 is designed for production of sandwich panels with a core of expanded polystyrene, mineral wool and polyurethane. The adhesive system is very fast. Therefore, it requires fast, accurate and uniform distribution of the adhesive on the surface. It is intended primarily for manufacturers of sandwich panels working on continuous production lines. Application of the two components is quite universal. They permanently join coated sheets with panels made of expanded polystyrene, polyurethane (polyisocyanurate boards, including PIR) and mineral wool.

EKOPRODUR KW-A2 two-component polyurethane adhesive together with component EKOPROMER G20 are primarily used for bonding coated metal sheets with large-size panels, made of virtually any material.

Mechanical properties of EKOPRODUR KW-A2 two-component polyurethane adhesive (with EKOPROMER G20):

  • optimum temperature of materials during bonding process: 18-22°C,
  • optimum temperature of the sheet in the component dosing area: ≥ 20 ° C,
  • press temperature: 30-40°C,
  • combustion gross heat (PCS) of the adhesive (according to PN-EN ISO 1716:2010) is 25 MJ/kg,
  • for sandwich panels with a core made of mineral wool, it is possible to obtain flammability class A2 if the adhesive consumption is not greater than 160 g/m2 per one liner.

To ensure that the adhesive maintains its stability and all the parameters, the glued surfaces should be thoroughly dried, degreased and cleaned of dust. We suggest to agree other processing conditions directly with technologists, since they must be adapted to the specific production conditions, parameters and the type of materials to be bonded.

Main application advantages of the product:

  • fast and durable joining of lacquered sheet with polyurethane and polyisocyanurate boards,
  • quick and durable joining of lacquered sheets with the block of polystyrene,
  • quick and durable joining of lacquered sheets with the block of mineral wool,
  • gluing on a continuous production line.
