Rokopol® M5020 is a polyether polyol produced in the KOH technology. It exists in the form of homogeneous, clear liquid. It contains antioxidants (excluding BHT). It has hydroxyl value within the range of 33-38 mgKOH/g, and dynamic viscosity within the range of 700-1000 mPas at temp. 25°C

Rokopol® M5020 is used in the production of high-resilience (HR) flexible polyurethane foams via continuous (slabstock) systems, in batch production, and in the production of molded foams. Using Rokopol® M5020 polyol, reactive polymeric polyols, and appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, blowing agents), it is possible to produce blocks of high-resilience (HR) flexible foam with a rectangular cross-section and a height of up to 100 cm.Key application advantages of Rokopol® M5020 polyol:

the ability to produce foams with densities ranging from 25 to 80 kg/m³, hardness ranging from 2 to 5 kPa, and elasticity up to 55%;

the foam’s tensile strength exceeds 60 kPa, and its relative elongation at break is up to 80%;

it is used with reactive polymeric polyols to optimize the mechanical properties of the foam block, such as: increasing foam hardness, eliminating the trapezoidal effect in blocks, and increasing block height;

a high comfort coefficient exceeding 2.6.

The most common applications of Rokopol® M5020 polyol:

flexible foams and high-resilience (HR) foams,

mattresses, pillows, and upholstered furniture as a comfort-enhancing component,

a component of flame-retardant CMHR foams,

2K elastomer systems,

sealants,

prepolymers.

Properties and applications

the product has not been classified as hazardous under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, as amended (CLP).
