Rokopol® M1140 is a polyether polyol, a block/statistical copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with EO capping based on glycerine. It exists in the form of liquid free of mechanical impurities, may be opalescent. It contains antioxidants (excluding BHT). It has hydroxyl value within the range of 39-43 mgKOH/g, and dynamic viscosity within the range of 850-1050 mPas at temp. 25°C.

Rokopol® M1140 is used in the production of high-resilience (HR) flexible and super-soft (Hyper Soft) polyurethane foams via continuous (slabstock) and batch production processes, as well as in the production of molded foams as a cell opener. Using Rokopol® M1140 polyol along with appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, blowing agents), it is possible to produce blocks of high-resilience (HR) flexible foam with a rectangular cross-section and a height of up to 120 cm.Key application advantages of the Rokopol® M1140 polyol:

polyol molecular weight of 4,000 MW,

capability to produce foams with densities ranging from 20 to 80 kg/m³, hardness in the range of 0.6 to 3 kPa, and elasticity exceeding 40%,

the foam’s tear strength is over 40 kPa and its relative elongation at break is over 200%,

when combined with vTec series polyols, it is used to produce viscoelastic foams,

very high comfort factor,

wide density range, and high resistance to “scorch.”

The most common applications of Rokopol® M1140 polyol:

high-quality elastic foams, soft and hypersoft foams, and gel foams,

mattresses and pillows with a high comfort factor,

as a comfort material for the production of car seats,

when used in combination with Rokopol® F3600 polyol, it reduces the hardness of standard or super-soft foams,

HR foams, viscoelastic foams,

and is used as a cell opener.
