Rokopol® M1160 is a polyether polyol, a glycerin-based random block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. It is supplied as a liquid free of mechanical impurities, which may exhibit an opalescent appearance. It contains antioxidants (BHT-free). It has a hydroxyl number in the range of 30–36 mg KOH/g and a dynamic viscosity at 25°C in the range of 1,200–1,500 mPas.

Rokopol® M1160 is used in the production of high-resilience (HR), flexible, and super-soft (Hyper Soft) polyurethane foams via continuous (slabstock) or batch production, as well as in the production of molded foams as a cell opener. When used with appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, blowing agents), it is used to produce blocks of super-elastic foam with a rectangular cross-section and a height of up to 120 cm.Main application advantages of Rokopol® M1160 polyol:

reduced reactivity compared to Rokopol M1170,

the ability to produce foams with densities ranging from 20 to 80 kg/m³, hardness in the range of 0.6–3 kPa, and elasticity exceeding 40% (this polyol is particularly suited for lightweight foams with densities below 25 kg/m³),

the foam’s tear strength is over 40 kPa and its relative elongation at break is over 200%,

when used with Rokopol® F3600 polyol, it reduces the hardness of standard or super-soft foams,

it provides a very high comfort factor,

high resistance to “scorch.”

The most common applications of Rokopol® M1160 polyol:

low-density Hypersoft foams,

high-quality flexible foams, including soft and Hypersoft types, gel foams, HR foams, and viscoelastic foams,

mattresses and pillows with a higher comfort rating,

as a comfort material for the production of car seats,

in combination with vTec series polyols, it is used in the production of viscoelastic foams,

used as a cell opener.

enables the production of highly elastic foams with excellent density, elasticity, and tear resistance, as well as a high comfort factor,
widely used in the furniture and automotive industries,
when used in combination with Rokopol® F3600 polyol, it reduces the hardness of standard or super-soft foams.

Applications:

Used in the production of HR foams, viscoelastic foams, and as a cell-opener,
used in the production of high-quality elastic foams, soft and hypersoft foams, and gel foams.
