Rokopol® vTec 8860 is a polyether polyol. It is supplied as a homogeneous liquid free of mechanical impurities. It contains antioxidants (BHT-free). It has a hydroxyl number in the range of 110–125 mg KOH/g and a dynamic viscosity at 25°C in the range of 400–600 mPas.

Rokopol® vTec 8860 is used in the production of viscoelastic polyurethane foams in both continuous (slabstock) and batch production systems. When used with appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, blowing agents), it is used to produce viscoelastic foam blocks with a rectangular cross-section and a height of up to 90 cm.Key application advantages of Rokopol® vTec 8860 polyol:

ability to produce foams with densities ranging from 30 to 80 kg/m³ and hardness values between 1 and 3 kPa,

the foam’s tensile strength exceeds 50 kPa and its relative elongation at break exceeds 50%,

foam recovery time of 1–10 seconds,

minimal effect of temperature changes in the range of 5–40°C on foam hardness,

an increase in foam hardness at 5°C of less than 30% (relative to foam hardness at 23°C),

a highly open-cell foam structure (air permeability) that improves “sleep quality,”

the ability to produce foams with either an open or closed-cell structure (pneumatic foam),

excellent shape of the resulting foam block.

The most common applications of Rokopol® vTec 8860 polyol:

viscoelastic (memory foam, visco), polyurethane, flexible, and gel foams,

mattresses and pillows with enhanced comfort.
