Rokopol® iPol H

Rokopol® iPol H is used in the production of CMHR-type flame-retardant foams (to achieve high resilience while reducing the content of flame-retardant additives) and high-quality high-resilience (HR) foams. Foams of this type are characterized by long-term physical and mechanical properties compared to commonly available HR solutions. High-resilience (HR) and CMHR flame-retardant foams can be produced using only liquid flame retardants (without melamine).

Main application advantages of the product:

• solid content (20%),
• the ability to produce high-resilience (HR) foams with densities ranging from 25 to 60 kg/m³,
• HR and CMHR foam hardness ranging from 1.5 to 4.5 kPa, depending on foam density,
• flame-retardant CMHR foams with reduced flame-retardant content (due to a different type of solid content, free of styrene-acrylonitrile).

Mechanical properties of foams produced using Rokopol® iPol H polyols:

• an impressive SAG factor (up to 3.3—comparable to latex mattresses) and 20–30% higher than foams produced using traditional HR technologies,
• very high foam resilience of up to 70%, compared to standard HR solutions, which have resilience levels of 50–60%,
• the ability to produce CMHR foam that meets the flammability criteria of CAL TB 133, BS5852, and CRIB 5, manufactured exclusively using a liquid flame retardant without the need for melamine, which degrades the foam’s mechanical properties,
• no styrene monomer,
• no monomeric acrylonitrile,
• high mechanical strength of the resulting foam over time,
• negligible loss of hardness, density, and rebound over time, compared to available HR technologies.

The use of Rokopol® iPol H polyol enables increased production efficiency, which is reflected in:

• a rectangular foam block shape,
• no variations in density and hardness within the foam block,
• good initial strength allowing the foam block to be handled immediately after foaming.

The most common applications of Rokopol® iPol H polyol:

• high-quality high-resilience (HR) foams and flame-retardant CMHR foams,
• flexible foams as a base for the production of HR mattresses and high-resilience upholstery,
• molded foams used in automotive seats.
