Rokopol® vTec 8888 is a polyether polyol. It is supplied as a homogeneous liquid free of mechanical impurities. It contains antioxidants (BHT-free). It has a hydroxyl number in the range of 120–140 mg KOH/g and a dynamic viscosity at 25°C in the range of 300–600 mPas.

Rokopol® vTec 8888 is used in the production of viscoelastic polyurethane foams using both continuous (slabstock) and batch production systems. When used with appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, blowing agents), it is used to produce viscoelastic foam blocks with a rectangular cross-section and a height of up to 70 cm.Key application advantages of Rokopol® vTec 8888 polyol:

the ability to produce foams with densities ranging from 30 to 70 kg/m³ and hardness in the range of 1–3 kPa,

foam recovery time of 1–10 s,

minimal impact of temperature changes in the range of 5–40°C on foam hardness,

hardness increase at 5°C of less than 50% (relative to hardness at 23°C),

the ability to produce foams with open or closed cell structures,

excellent permanent deformation properties allowing for high compression of the foam during transport.
