ROKAdis 600 is an anionic surfactant from the group of phosphoric esters. The commercial product is a clear to slightly cloudy liquid with an active substance content of at least 99%.
The main applications of ROKAdis 600 are industrial emulsion polymerisation processes, including the production of acrylic, styrene-acrylic and vinyl acetate copolymer dispersions.
The product acts as the main emulsifier in the processes and ensures adequate dispersion stability and low level of coagulation. Thanks to its properties, ROKAdis 600 works perfectly as a corrosion inhibitor. Therefore, it is particularly recommended for the production of dispersions dedicated to anti-corrosion products.
It performs best in combination with suitable non-ionic emulsifiers such as: ROKAnol L30/65, ROKAnol IT20/80, ROKAnol IT40/70 or ROKAnol TSP25/80.
ROKAdis 600 can also be used as a wetting and dispersing agent in formulations of waterborne paints and varnishes, as well as pigment concentrates. The product has a particularly strong affinity to inorganic pigments. Pigment concentrates produced with ROKAdis 600 can be used universally, i.e. they can be used for tinting both waterborne and solvent-based bases. ROKAdis 600 improves the compatibility of pigments in finished paint products and can be used as a post-additive in the paint tinting process.
ROKAdis 600 has a very low VOC content and does not contain ethoxylated nonylphenols. Recommended use level ranges from 1% to 3% by weight based on the weight of the monomer in the emulsion polymerisation process and from 0.1% to 1% in finished paint formulations.
The product is subject to ADR/RID, IMDG, ICAO/IATA.
