ROKAnol UD5 is a non-ionic surfactant from the group of ethoxylated synthetic alcohols. The product co-creates a group of surfactants based on undecyl alcohol (C11). At room temperature the product has the consistency of a liquid. The solidification point of the product is about 0°C. At 50°C the product has a light colour - max. 50 HU. The commercial product contains about 100% of the active substance. It has a limited solubility in water, forming cloudy solutions.
ROKAnol UD5 has good solubility in low aliphatic alcohols. Compared to other ROKAnols of this series, the product has a high cloud-point at temperatures of 60÷65°C (for a solution of butyldiglycol) and relatively low foam-forming properties for an ethoxylated product. In addition, ROKAnol UD5, due to its non-ionic character, is ideal for use with other non-ionic, cationic and anionic surfactants.
ROKAnol UD5 has excellent wetting and emulsifying properties. Thanks to this, the product will prove itself as a component of all types of cleaning formulas. This includes both household agents and products for industrial and institutional use.
In combination with ROKAnols UD3 and UD7 it shows synergy in cleaning performance. Its excellent wettability in relation to cotton makes it suitable for bleaching fibres. ROKAnol UD5 increases the efficiency of this process and additionally improves dye absorption into the textile structure during further processing of textile products. Due to its properties, the product is used in the textile industry as a component of the formulation for bleaching cotton.
ROKAnol UD5 is fully biodegradable and meets the criteria of the Detergents Directive.
