Fumed silica is a product obtained in the process of pyrolysis of silicon tetrachloride, which takes place in hydrogen furnaces.
This method yields silica of very high purity. The product is also characterised by a very low bulk density, large surface area and a strong thickening effect. Thanks to its unique properties, it is widely used in photovoltaics, but also in the cosmetics industry, in the production of powders, in paints, inks, various coatings and adhesives.
