The term “oil” refers to non-polar chemical substances with hydrophobic properties, composed mainly of hydrocarbons. Most often, oils are unsaturated fats having liquid form at room temperature.

Oil derivatives are created as a result of the reaction of various oils – e.g. distilled, hydrogenated tallow alkyl is a raw material used to produce ethoxylated fatty amines.
