EXOlat MC60 is an aqueous solution of acrylic acid and maleic acid copolymer sodium salt. At room temperature, the product is a clear and viscous liquid with the maximum colour of 70 in the Hanzen scale. It contains 39 to 42% of dry matter with a pH of 8.0 to 9.0 (5% solution). It has a molar mass of approx. 80000 g/mol.
The product is classified as a polycarboxylate based on acrylic acid and maleic anhydride copolymers. These compounds are commonly used for household cleaners such as washing detergents, automatic dishwashing products or various preparations used for cleaning hard surfaces, as well as for cleaning public and industrial spaces.
The main task of EXOlat MC60 is to prevent the sedimentation of scale and enhance the detergency effect. The product is capable to dispergate sediments, such as calcium carbonate, and thus prevent them from growing into larger crystals and depositing on surfaces. Consequently, when used as an additive, it also improves the effectiveness of surfactants in hard water (enhances the detergency effect).
The effect of EXolat MC60 involves dispergation, which means that any water-insoluble salts are disintegrated with high precision, so that their presence does not impair stability of the formulation or disturb the processes performed in the water medium.
