ROKAmin K15P is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the group of ethoxylated coconut amines. It has an average degree of ethoxylation of 15 moles and a reduced content of metal ions. ROKAmin K15P is a liquid with good solubility in water and ethanol, acetone or ethyl acetate.
Due to the presence of a double oxyethylene chain at the nitrogen atom, ROKAmin K15P combines the features of both non-ionic and cationic surfactants, especially when used in acidic environments.
Due to its cationic nature at low pH, the molecule of ROKAmin K15P is able to create a uniform layer on the metal surface giving it anti-corrosion properties. Additionally, the low content of ions means that ROKAmin K15P prevents corrosion on metal surfaces also at higher temperatures.
ROKAmin K15P can be used as a co-emulsifier in microemulsion systems, as well as an emulsifier and levelling agent in fibre dyeing processes. Moreover, due to its excellent detergent properties, it effectively removes persistent dirt.
The product is resistant to hard water. It works very well in acidic and alkaline formulations. So it can be successfully used in the industrial and institutional cleaning industry as a component of hard surface cleaning agents.
ROKAmin K15P is also used as an ingredient of industrial degreasers and cleaning agents for metal parts. In formulations containing polar solvents, ROKAmin K15P increases their concentration.
The product is classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP/GHS].
