Active Play AS H 8013_LT is a one-component polyurethane adhesive in the form of a prepolymer based on diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI). The product is intended for the manufacture of cold-molded parts from SBR rubber granules, particularly those derived from recycled used car tires.

The adhesive forms a bond with good stiffness while maintaining the flexibility and high mechanical properties of the finished parts. The product contains no volatile organic solvents, making it a suitable solution for industrial and professional applications.

Active Play AS H 8013_LT is a polyurethane prepolymer designed for bonding SBR rubber granules in cold-molding processes. The product has an NCO content of 18.0–19.5% and a dynamic viscosity at 25°C in the range of 2000–3500 mPas. At 25°C, it is a liquid ranging in color from amber to brown.The adhesive is recommended for the production of components molded from SBR granules, where it is essential to achieve a durable, rigid, yet flexible bond. The recommended mass fraction of the adhesive is 20% relative to the SBR granules. Reducing the amount of adhesive may negatively affect the mechanical properties of the finished molded part.During application, the SBR granules must be thoroughly mixed with the Active Play AS H 8013_LT adhesive, then the dedicated crosslinking agent Rokopol PE400 must be added, and mixing must continue. The recommended mass ratio of adhesive to crosslinking agent is 100:20–30. Optionally, a small amount of water may be used as an additional crosslinking agent, which can accelerate the curing process.Once mixing with the crosslinking agent begins, the mixture should be poured into the mold and molded within approximately 6 minutes, although this time depends on the process temperature. The finished product can usually be demolded after about 4 hours, while the product achieves its expected minimum mechanical properties after 48 hours.Thorough mixing of the granules with the adhesive and the cross-linking agent, as well as adherence to the proper time schedule, are critical to the quality of the final product.
