Dodecylphenol is a dense, viscous, light yellow liquid with a characteristic phenolic odour. It is a mixture of isomers containing mainly para-dodecylphenol. Dodecylphenol is difficult to dissolve in water and is very soluble in aliphatic alcohols, ketones, esters and aliphatic hydrocarbons.

Boiling range: approx. 300 – 340°C;
Melting point: approx. -9°C;
Density at 200C: approx. 0,94 g/cm3;
Flash point: approx: ok. 160°C;
Auto-ignition temperature: approx. 400°C;
Water solubility: 1,54 mg/dm3..
Dodecylphenol is the product of alkylation of phenol with the propylene tetramer in the presence of acidic ion exchange resin as a catalyst. Then product is purified by vacuum distillation to isolate dodecylphenol.
The know how is based on the use of ion exchange resins and is featuring the high reaction selectivity which guaranties high quality of our products and secures the minimum quantity of waste-water and the minimum of atmospheric emissions.
