The chemical materials from PCC Group include a full range of polyether polyols. Polyols are distinguished by a long structure of the polymer chain which is terminated by a minimum of two hydroxyl (OH) groups. According to the number of OH groups in a molecule, polyols are classified into diols (with 2 OH groups), triols (with 3 OH groups), tetrols (with 4 OH groups), etc. The polyols include polyether polyols, also known as polyetherols.

By structure, polyetherols are alcoxylated glycols, or polyhydric alcohols, or simply polyols. These compounds are synthesized by reaction of alcohols with ethylene oxide and/or polypropylene oxide. The classification of the compounds by structure includes sorbitol polyols, aromatic polyols, carbohydrate polyols, and amine polyols.

Polyether polyols usually appear as clear, neutral liquids; however, white-coloured forms exist. Polyether polyols are insoluble in water and well-soluble in most organic solvents. Polyether polyols form polyurethanes by reaction with isocyanates. The characteristics of synthesized plastics vary with the polyol type used.

Polyols are used in the production of flexible foam blocks, rigid PU foams, and moulded flexible foams, and in CASE applications (coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers). Polyols are also viable in non-PU applications, like compressor lubricants, hydraulic liquids, and metal machining liquids.
