ROKAnol®GT10 (C9-16 alcohol ethoxylated)

ROKAnol^® GT10 is a non-ionic surfactant from the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols with a C9 - C16 chain length. The product belongs to the ROKAnol^® GT series. Due to its special properties, it is perfect as a substitute for ethoxylates based on C13 alcohol.

The commercial product contains approximately 100% of the active substance. It is a paste consistency or oil-like liquid. The product solidifies at a temperature of approx. 18°C, while at a temperature of 40°C, it is a clear liquid of Hazen colour of 50 max. ROKAnol^® GT10 is hydrophilic, which is why it dissolves well in water and in low aliphatic alcohols. In addition, it has a high cloud point within 64-56°C in an aqueous solution.

ROKAnol^® GT10 shows stability both in an oxidizing and reducing environment, as well as in the presence of hard water. What is more, the product is characterized by resistance to acid or alkaline environment, the presence of salts and organic solvents, whose occurrence in the formulation is the result of meeting special, restrictive usage requirements. ROKAnol^® GT10 is characterized by a much greater resistance to electrolytes, especially alkalis, compared to the lower ethoxylates from the ROKAnol^® GT series. As a result, it can be used in more alkaline formulations, especially in professional detergents and auxiliary agents in the textile industry.Due to the lack of ionic forms in the chemical structure of the product, ROKAnol^® GT10 can be used in combination with other non-ionic surfactants and in formulations with anionic and cationic surfactants. Compared to other ROKAnol^® GT series, it is distinguished by higher foaming abilities. What is more, it has very good degreasing and detergent properties, which enables a high level of dirt removal from woven/knitted fabrics and hard surfaces.In addition, it works well as an ingredient in preparations intended for fibre pre-treatment processes. The product achieves good results in removing oil stains of mineral origin from woven and knitted fabrics resulting from knitting and weaving processes. Due to its excellent wetting properties, ROKAnol^® GT10 can be used in compositions for bleaching raw knitted and cotton fabrics. Using the product in the bleaching bath improves capillarity of the dye during the next stage of fibre treatment, i.e. the dyeing process.ROKAnol^® GT10 is an easily biodegradable product.
