Active Play AS C II Red (Polyurethane adhesive)

Active Play AS C II Red is a prepolymer dedicated to bonding black SBR granules also obtained from the recycling of ground, used car tires. It is a specialized one-component red adhesive that turns black granules red during application.

SBR granules are obtained by cutting car tires. It is characterized by its black color, high abrasion and weather resistance. It dampens sound brilliantly, it is safe, flexible and does not absorb water. As a result, it is used in sports and leisure construction for the production of safe surfaces.

The pigmented prepolymer – Active Play AS C II Red – must be mixed before application. The SBR granules should be moistened with prepolymer and then placed in the mold so that it is cured under the influence of temperature and moisture while the press operates.

The properties of the molded part (such as a plate) depend on the size and the composition of the rubber granules, and quantity of the one-component polyurethane adhesive and in the case of the molded process, it also depends on the degree of compression during curing. The adhesive curing process takes place at temperatures from 70°C to 150°C. The choice of temperature and humidity depends on the applied technology and allows, among other things to reduce the time of curing/polymerization.

The prepolymer, combined with SBR granules, forms a good rigid joint preserving its elasticity at the same time. It contains no harmful organic solvents.

Active Play AS C II Red is designed for the production of colored SBR granules, particularly for the production of sports and playground surfaces. 

Advantages of product application:

• easy to apply adhesive for joining rubber granules,
• high resistance to temperature – in production of formable elements temperatures in the range from 70°C to 150°C can be applied,
• higher humidity and temperature allows shortening of the hardening process of a surface or element.
