EXOdis PC185 is a mixture of non-ionic surfactants. It is characterised by a high concentration of the active substance of approx. 99%. At room temperature, the product is a clear or slightly cloudy liquid. It is well soluble in water and low aliphatic alcohols. The solidification point of the product is approx. -13°C.
EXOdis PC185 is used in the production of water-thinnable paints and varnishes, specifically white paints, as an auxiliary low-foaming and wetting agent. The product exhibits a synergistic effect in combination with commonly used polyacrylate-based dispersants, facilitating the wetting of pigments and fillers during the dispersing process.
EXOdis PC185 is particularly recommended for the use in materials that are difficult to wet, such as talc or kaolin, for example. In addition to improving wettability, EXOdis PC185 has a positive effect on the properties of finished paints, such as viscosity, viscosity stability, and pigment compatibility after the tinting process.
Due to its strong tendency to reduce surface tension, EXOdis PC185 also improves the wettability of the substrate by the applied paint, which directly translates into a reduction of coating defects, such as craters or fisheyes.
EXOdis PC185 shows very good compatibility with components that are commonly used in the production of paints and varnishes, such as inorganic pigments and mineral fillers, wetting and dispersing agents, rheology modifiers or anti-foaming agents.
The product does not contain alkylphenol ethoxylates. It is also characterised by a low content of VOCs and SVOCs. Its recommended use level ranges from 0.1 to 1% in finished paint products.
The product is classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP/GHS].
The product is not subject to ADR/RID, ADN, IMDG/IATA international transport regulations.
