Roksol AT2 is an auxiliary agent with softening and anti-electrostatic properties used in the textile industry. It is produced in the form of a paste in the colour from beige to yellow. Roksol AT2 is used for the preparation of loose fibres, fabrics and knitted fabrics from chemical and natural fibres and their blends. Its antielectrostatic effect consists in increasing the electrical conductivity of the fibres and preventing their electrification. As a result, further fibre processing is more effective.
Thanks to Roksol AT2, textiles are softer and more pleasant to the touch. Due to its antielectrostatic and softening properties, Roksol AT2 is used as a slip preparation for loose fibres and for the preparation of fabrics and knitted fabrics made of polyester, polyamide, polyacrylonitrile, wool, cotton, viscose, linen fibres, as well as their blends.
The application of the product on fabrics and knitwear facilitates the processes of cutting on cutters, drying, thermostabilizing, calendering, ironing and packaging. This is due to the removal of electric charges (especially in chemical fibres) and the reduction of surface and cross resistance, as well as making materials made of pure chemical fibres, natural and mixed, softer to the touch.
The aqueous dispersions of Roksol AT2 do not exhibit foaming, wetting and washing properties. Thus, the application of the preparation is facilitated, and the products previously dyed or printed do not change the shade and remain permanent. The use of Roksol AT2 on cotton and viscose fabrics after bleaching provides their softening, and improves the smoothness and vividness of the colours, especially dark ones. The properties of Roksol AT2 as a component of the finishing baths provide softness and smoothness of the fibres.
