Alkoxylated fatty acids are non-ionic surfactants with various industrial applications. Their versatility comes from a wide spectrum of properties modified depending on the number of alkoxy groups in the molecule or the length of the fatty acid chain.

Common compounds are: ethoxylates of stearic acid, lauric acid or coconut acid. These products are used in the textile industry, e.g. in the production of spin finishes.
