SULFOROKAnol L225/1 MB is an anionic surfactant of the group of alkyl ether sulphates (INCI name: Sodium Laureth Sulphate). The product is available as an approximately 26% aqueous solution in colour from colourless to light yellow, pH close to neutral and low viscosity at room temperature. These properties make it easier to pump, dose and mix the product with other components. The microbiological purity of SULFOROKAnol L225/1 MB is ensured by the addition of a preservative.
SULFOROKAnol L225/1 MB belongs to the group of products covered by the RSPO certificate in the Mass Balance model(www.rspo.org). This means that the palm oil used to produce the basic raw material included in the SULFOROKAnol L225/1 MB product comes from crops that do not contribute to the depletion of natural values. At the same time, its production respects the rights of people living in areas where oil palms are grown.
Due to its anionic nature, this product is perfect for formulations with other anionic, non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants. The product is the main component of personal care products, i.e. body wash gels, shampoos, bath lotions. The main features of the product are excellent washing properties, increased resistance to hard water, emulsifiability and foam formation. This product generates high and very stable foams. One of the basic features of SULFOROKAnol L225/1 MB is the ability to increase the viscosity of washing formulations in the presence of electrolytes and amphoteric or non-ionic surfactants, i.e. ROKAmina K30 or ROKAmid KAD.
The surfactant complies with the biodegradability criteria laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.
SULFOROKAnol L225/1 MB is also used as a component of detergents with a wide range of applications – dishwashing liquids, washing liquids, hard surface cleaning liquids as well as professional detergents. Works great in an acidic and alkaline environment as a component of formulas that clean different surfaces.
Thanks to its above-average foaming properties, the product is used in car chemistry as a component of active foams. The strong foaming properties of the product are also used in other applications, for example in fire-fighting foam.
SULFOROKAnol L225/1 MB is also used in the construction industry as a component of air-entraining admixtures. It also increases the frost resistance of the concrete. Due to its strong detergent properties, the product is used as an ingredient in tanning formulations, mainly for washing and degreasing skins.
The emulsifying properties and effective lowering of surface tension by SULFOROKAnol L225/1 MB make it suitable for use in emulsion polymerization processes, mainly for the production of aqueous polymer dispersions, e.g. acrylic or acetate-vinyl, ensuring adequate emulsification of the monomers in the reaction mixture. Emulsifying properties of the product are also used in machining fluids and in hydraulic fluids.
Thanks to the effective lowering of the surface tension and the reduction of the contact angle, the product is used as an ingredient of adjuvants that are used together with plant protection products.
