ROKAnol® ID3 is a non-ionic surfactant which belongs to ethoxylate fatty alcohols (under the INCI name: Isodeceth-3). The product belongs to the ROKAnol® ID series based on isodecyl alcohol. The series’ detergent and dispersing ability is so distinct that the products are successfully used as components of households cleaning agents, as well as in industrial and institutional applications.
ROKAnol® ID3 is a clear or slightly cloudy liquid with the active substance content of about 100%. At a temperature of about -16°C it solidifies, while at 40°C it has a light colour, i.e. max. 50 on the Hazen scale. The product has a cloud point at a temperature range of (51÷55) °C in the butyldiglycol/water solution. Due to its limited water solubility, it forms cloudy solutions when combined with water. However, high surface activity of the product makes it perfect in water and other liquids. It can be used in combination with other non-ionic products, as well as cationic and anionic surface active products.
ROKAnol® ID3 is characterized by unstable foam. It is an excellent wetting agent with very good emulsifying and dispersing properties. It works especially well in the presence of small amounts of salts and alkalis, while showing resistance to acidic environments and hard water.
Due to its numerous advantages, ROKAnol® ID3 is ideal for formulations based on acidic ingredients, disinfection products containing solvents, as a formulation ingredient in household products and products for industrial and institutional use. The product also has very good emulsifying properties, especially for kerosene, machine oil, drilling oil, rolling oil, and honing oil. Thanks to these properties, it is applied mainly in the metal industry and solvent-based washing and degreasing preparations used for cleaning vehicles, engines, machine parts, road tankers and rail tankers.
ROKAnol® ID3 is biodegradable in the natural environment and complies with the EU directive on detergents.
