ROKAmer G1000 is a non-ionic surfactant, from the group of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide block copolymers utilizing glycerine as a starter. The product has the form of a clear, colourless liquid with a low coagulation temperature, i.e. below -20°C and an active substance content of approx. 100%. This product is not a low-molecular copolymer with a mean molar weight of approximately 1000 g/mole. It dissolves well in water only at low concentrations.
Aqueous solutions of ROKAmer G1000 below the temperature of 40°C are clear, becoming turbid at a temperature of 45°C. This is a polymer with a specific, tri-functional structure, meaning that it has three hydrophilic groups. This characteristic distinguishes the ROKAmer G series from other non-ionic surfactants and determines their properties. ROKAmer G1000 is a low- and anti-foaming product, with efficiency above 45°C. Furthermore, ROKAmer G1000 is a reactive surfactant and its further modification, such as by using fatty acids, is possible. Its derivatives are anti-foaming ingredients for the paper and food industries (e.g. for sugar production), as well as for numerous processes experiencing problems related to waste water and process water foaming at higher temperatures. Thanks to its properties, it reduces the surface tension between liquid and air, at the same time improving foam drainage, resulting in its reduction.
ROKAmer G1000 does not contain silicon, it is not classified as hazardous substance but it is susceptible to aerobic biodegradation. This product has Kosher certification.
