EXOdis PC418 is a anionic surfactant with very good dispersing and wetting properties, used in the production of water-thinnable paints and varnishes. At room temperature, it is a viscous liquid with a freezing point of approximately -11°C. EXOdis PC418 is very well soluble in water.

The product constitutes a neutralized form of EXOdis PC417 as an alkanolamine salt, with an active substance content of min. 97.5%

EXOdis PC418 is used as a dispersing and wetting agent in the paint and varnish industry. Its structure contains so-called anchor groups with strong affinity for the surface of organic pigments and soot. This effect results directly in excellent dispersing and wetting properties of the product. Therefore, it is particularly recommended for the production of concentrates of the above-mentioned pigments.

The use of EXOdis PC418 allows for low viscosity of the pigment concentrate and excellent stability of the final product during storage. Compared to agents based on standard surfactants, the product significantly increases the colourant dyeing strength and ensures excellent pigment compatibility in the finished dye product.EXOdis PC418 shows very good compatibility with components commonly used in the production of paints and varnishes, i.e.: inorganic pigments and mineral fillers, dispersing and wetting agents, rheology modifiers and anti-foaming agents. The product does not contain ethoxylated alkylphenols. It is also has a very low VOC and SVOC content. Recommended use level: 5–25% of the active substance per pigment mass in pigment concentrates, depending on the type of pigment, and 0.1–1% in the finished dye product.ADR/RID, IMDG, ICAO/IATA transport regulations do not apply to the transport of this product. Covered means of transportation are recommended.Product not classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP/GHS].
